To say that 2012 has been my favorite year yet would be a drastic understatement, but here's hoping 2013 will be even better!

11/9/13
While you all know that we are engaged and that our date is set, what you might not know, is that we have just about every detail of our vintage glam wedding figured out as well.
Our colors are blush, burgundy, and mint.
The groomsmen will wear gray suits, mint ties, and brown boots.
The bridesmaids will be wearing blush in different hues and textures.
The inspiration for my look came in the form of finger waves, brooches on the stem of my bouquet, and Jenny Packman gowns.
A vignette space with a quilted sofa, an old suitcase for cards, our silhouettes in cross-stitch, and a few other vintage elements will create the perfect backdrop for photos.
A chalkboard seating chart will tell guests at which of the tables adorned with cheese board, lace & burlap, and tapered brass candlesticks they'll be sitting.
An Americana band with a trumpet, steel guitar, and stand up bass will entertain guests during the cocktail hour.

Happy Holidays
The combination of emerald and leopard felt too festive to pass up this time of year. I wish all of you the happiest of holidays with your family & friends! Thank you for viewing my daily outfit posts and fashionable ramblings...it's my passion and I'm so pleased to have you join me from time to time.

A Sign of Growth
The combination of it being dark when I come home, my fiance starting work before I'm ready, and a non-DSLR camera have led to an overall feeling of underwhelm with the photographic evidence of my outfits as of late. I guess this is a sign of growth in my expectations of this lil blog, as pictures inside the halls of my office building were accepted as the norm this time last year. I can't well expect my co-worker (and current paparazzo) to brave the chill and take time out of her lunch hour to take my picture. Therefore, I must upgrade to an instrument that can capture the beauty of texture, shine, and pattern in fluorescent lighting. Any recommendations?

Do It Again
When it comes to redoing an entire outfit, I just say "no." Not saying that I don't re-wear items, that would just be wasteful and indulgent, not to mention expensive! However, I like to entertain new ways to wear each blouse, dress, sweater, trouser, and skirt that I own. Sometimes, I hit the jackpot and love every piece of my ensemble...all the way down to the shoes and accessories. These combinations from fall/winter of 2011? I'd do 'em all again, in exactly the same way.

Something Blue
While I told myself (and my fiance) that I was going to buy these famous blue wedding shoes for our nuptials, I decided on a dress that didn't quite go with 'em. Even though I was going to budget monthly to afford the high price, I'm happy to have some extra bucks to spend on other accessories. But, since that need for something blue was still there, I went with these bow pumps at 1/20th of the cost!
