Shoes for Overexposed Toes

If you're like me, you might be sick of wearing gladiator sandals, espadrilles, boat shoes, nude peep toes, and wood platforms or any other shoes that we usually turn to in the summer. That's not to say that I won't continue to toss on my flip flops when it's so hot outside that you could fry an egg on the sidewalk, but it's nice to have some alternatives. Therefore...I give you the four types of shoes for overexposed toes and lots and lots and lots of street style photos via Pinterest to show you how to wear them.

This option is for those with some country in their soul! Especially in a cognac or tan, flat ankle boots enhance any outfit by adding a hippie chicness or a rock 'n' roll edge to some more prim and proper ensembles, especially after they've been scuffed up a bit. Wear these with pleated skirts, floral & lace dresses, or cut offs.
The most fashion forward of the shoes here is the wedge high top. Talk about comfy and casual while not sacrificing any leg lengthening benefits! Wear these like they're your favorite Converse All-Stars. These fierce pairs of gym shoes need to be the center of attention, so show 'em off with almost anything that hits above the knee, like a shift dress, asymmetrical hem skirt, or with a pair of skinnies tucked into the top!
While the other options cover up your pedi, these really make the toes the focus by offering almost as little coverage as a flip flop. With only two straps and a heel, you must keep your heels smooth but the payoff is sexier (and more comfortable) than you can imagine! These gems have no bounds on when not to wear them. They'll take the place of your favorite pumps in no time.
Taking influence from the gents, we have the oxford. I consider this the better version of the ballerina flat, of which we all have a few pairs of and have worn with everything in our closets. With options of metallic and bright colors, they're the perfect example of updated vintage. Plus, you have the option of infusing a pop of color with laces! Consider throwing these on with your flirty mini skirts, chino shorts, or shirtdress. Very dandy indeed!
